Parents/Carers Pledge

As a parent/carer of a Stretton Eagles Junior Football Club Player, I pledge to:

• Support my player, their team mates and their coaches efforts at all times.
• Respect the game officials, opponent’s players, coaches and supporters at all times.
• Stand at least 1 metre away from the pitch.
• Cheer encouragement to my player(s) and their team mates, but NOT instructions.
• Get my player(s) to practices, training sessions and games on time and prepared with drink and appropriate attire.
• Inform coaches in advance of any practices, training sessions or games that you know your player(s) will need to miss or arrive late to.
• Avoid any confrontation with game officials, coaches or opposing team parents and will refrain from any unsporting or poor parenting behaviour including verbal or physical abuse of players, coaches, game officials and spectators before, during or after practices, training or matches.
• Discuss all issues with my player (s) privately and at a time away from the game, team mates and spectators.
• Ensure that Club subscriptions are paid on time.
• Inform the manager or coach of any medical condition or illness that may affect a player’s performance during or after a match.

As a parent/carer of a Stretton Eagles Junior Football Club player I agree to review these guidelines with my player and abide by these guidelines.

Expectations

Any parent or spectator who is ejected from the game by the referee will remove him or herself from the sidelines/playing area immediately. He/she will be banned from attending the next scheduled game and can be banned for longer if so determined by an inquiry of the Stretton Eagles Junior Football Club Committee.
