Constitution
Stretton Eagles Junior Football Club (“The Club”) is run by a Management Committee with an Executive that consists of:
- A Club Secretary
- League Secretaries for each league in which Stretton Eagles teams compete
- A Treasurer
- A Club Welfare Officer
The Management Committee will meet on the first Tuesday every third month at a suitable venue. Notes of the meeting will be distributed to all members within 2 weeks of the date of the meeting.
Membership
All players are entitled to membership of The Club with any benefits that attracts.
The Club does not discriminate against any child, irrespective of Gender, Race, Ability or religious beliefs. The Club believes that all players should benefit from the full protection of The Club in all aspects when on club activity.
The Club will not tolerate sexual or racially based abuse or any other discriminatory behaviour whether physical or verbal and irrespective of whether it is directed towards or against any player.
The Club asks parents to respect this code when supporting players during matches and training. Encouragement to all players is welcome and players should accept defeat in a similar manner to the way they would celebrate success.
The Club supports the Football Association in their commitment to eradicating abuse of any sort from the game.
The Club expects that all players will maintain a high standard of behaviour and will conduct themselves in a manner which befits their membership of the club.
All players must be registered through The Club with the leagues in which they will play and according to the rules laid down by those leagues and the Football Association.
Each player will be provided with appropriate kit, including a Stretton Eagles shirt, shorts and socks, for each representative game.
No player is entitled to keep The Club supplied kit after the close of each season, or after they decide to leave The Club. Where kit is not returned The Club reserves the right to pursue return in whatever manner is appropriate.
Any additional equipment supplied by The Club is provided as a benefit of membership. In some cases this equipment may be retained by the player beyond the end of their membership. This will be made clear at the time of distribution.
The Use Of Personal Information You Give About Your Child
Any information that you declare will be held on “The Club” database for the sole use of its representatives. This information is held under the Data Protection Act and will not be used in any other way so as to be shared with any other individuals or organisations without your consent.
Medical Consent Form
This form is designed to protect both the good health of your child and also the interests of those given your consent to supervise your child whilst being involved in any club events. Its use is intended to help speed up the most appropriate corrective action that may be required.
The team managers have undertaken basic first aid training having passed the required FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate. They will only administer basic assistance either in your presence or with the consent you might have given via this form.
The due process for its use in the event of ant incident that may require greater medical attention is:
- Speak with the parent if in attendance at the event, if this is not possible:
- To inform the first emergency contact on the form, if this is not possible:
- To inform the second emergency contact on the form.
- Contact the family doctor if none of the emergency contacts are available.
Should any treatment of a more ‘specialist’ nature be required including possible hospitalisation, then, having followed the above process, the information declared on this form will be shared with the appropriate medical body in the best interests of your child.
Insurance
For junior football, The Club does not provide any insurance other than Public Liability. This is because most insurance covers loss of earnings only. Therefore, since the cost of providing insurance to approximately 200 children is so expensive compared to the benefits it would provide we advise that if you wanted to provide any form of insurance for your child, then the best way is to seek personal sports insurance.
Grievances
If you have any grievance that you feel cannot be resolved directly with the team manager in a constructive and sympathetic manner then you should contact one of the Management Committee.
